 Metal Craft Industries relies on volunteers to educate Metal Craft Industries’ incarcerated employees on manufacturing

practices. Volunteers will interact with the inmates when teaching them needed skills and procedures. This not only helps Metal Craft Industries, but the rehabilitation efforts of the inmate.

Our staff has a commitment to provide excellent services while taking the added time and effort to work within the walls of the South Dakota State Penitentiary. It is essential that Metal Craft Industries work with the correctional facility to provide the safest and efficient working environment for the correctional officers, all employees of Metal Craft Industries, and the community.

Requirements

 The positions that entail access to the Penitentiary require background checks, Novice Prison Safety Training and Annual Prison Safety training provided by the South Dakota State Penitentiary.

Metal Craft Industries has positions at our East side location, which do not require Penitentiary access.

Metal Craft Industries highly seeks and recommends the following criteria:

• Welders that can demonstrate various welding techniques;
• Potential Employees with Commercial Driver’s License (CDL);
• Previous Experience.
